Free UX review · Persuasive Patterns
Find out where visitors get stuck.
Products lose people at three moments: deciding to sign up, using it for the first time, and coming back. Send us a page and we review it against the Persuasive Patterns, with most attention on the first moment, where most people are lost. Within 1–2 business days, you get an email with where visitors get stuck, the psychology behind it, and what to change first.

Sound familiar?
The design is usable. Why isn't it converting?
Usability heuristics tell you whether people can act. The Persuasive Patterns explain whether they want to. The review looks at motivation, not just usability.
Too close to your own design?
After weeks in Figma, you stop seeing the page as a first-time visitor does. An expert review against named patterns catches what you no longer notice.
Need to defend a design change?
Every finding names the psychological principle behind it, which is easier to explain to a PM, client or stakeholder than personal taste.
Not sure where to start?
The review ends with what to change first, ranked by how much it matters for the page's goal.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You get one free review per email address per week, and Product Weekly, the weekly Learning Loop newsletter on product discovery, design and strategy. Need more reviews, or a review of a whole flow? Email info@learningloop.io.
Which pages can you review?
Any public page that starts with https:// and that a visitor can see without logging in: a homepage, landing page, pricing page, product page or signup page. We do not review pages behind a login, pages that redirect to another website, or adult, gambling or unsafe websites.
What do you do with my page?
We open it once, like a visitor would, and review what's on the page. We do not log in or fill in forms. We keep a copy of your review and of how the page looked, so we can check and improve the reviews. We only share your review with the review club if you tick its box on the form, and you see it first. Otherwise we never publish it without asking you. Your email address and the address of the page are kept with your newsletter subscription, as described in our privacy policy.
What is the review club?
An optional club for people who have had their own page reviewed. Tick its box on the form, and if your review makes a good example, we share it with the club's members, with a link to your website. In return you get access to the other members' reviews: real pages, the issues found and what to change. Everyone who ticks the box gets access, even if their own review isn't shared. You see your review before it's shared, and you can ask us to take it down at any time. The club opens once the first reviews are in; members get an email when it does. Whether you join or not, your own review is the same.
How is this different from a heuristic evaluation?
A heuristic evaluation, for example against Nielsen's ten heuristics, checks whether people can use the page. This is an expert review through a behavioral lens: it checks whether the page gives people a reason to act, against the Persuasive Patterns. The two complement each other.
Is this about dark patterns?
No. The review looks for what makes a page unclear, uncertain or effortful, and suggests ways to help people decide, never ways to trick or pressure them.
Can I send a client's website, and share the review?
Yes, as long as the page is public. The review is yours to share with your team, client or stakeholders.
Does it replace usability testing?
No. It's an expert inspection of one page. Use it to decide what to change and what to test, and validate the changes with real users.
Who is behind it?
UI-Patterns.com and Learning Loop, both by Anders Toxboe. The Persuasive Patterns are a collection of psychological principles that explain why people act the way they do. Read them all in the Persuasive Patterns playbook, or get them as a printed card deck.
