David McCandless
David McCandless is a London-based author, data journalist and information designer. After starting out writing for computer and gaming magazines, he went on to work for The Guardian and Wired, and his information design work has appeared in more than 40 publications internationally. He created the visual blog Information Is Beautiful and the book of the same name, which explores data visualisation as a new direction for journalism and storytelling, followed by Knowledge Is Beautiful in 2014.
In his TED talk “The beauty of data visualization” (2010), David McCandless speaks about visualising data. The talk is filed under data visualization, design and information design, and will interest designers who need to make complex information clear and engaging.
