Tim Brown

Tim Brown is a designer and toolmaker who focuses on typography. He joined Typekit in 2010 as Type Manager and later became Head of Typography for Adobe Typekit and Adobe Type, working on product direction, designing software and helping both novices and experts improve their typographic skills. He is the author of Flexible Typesetting (A Book Apart, 2018), a book about setting type for websites and apps that have to work at many different screen sizes.

His talk Universal Typography was recorded at Smashing Conference in 2014. It deals with typography on the web and how to approach type so it holds up for readers wherever they encounter it.
