Sustainable User Experience
Sustainable user experience is about designing products and services with their long-term effect on people and the planet in mind. It can mean reducing the energy and resources a product uses, designing for durability and reuse, or encouraging more sustainable behaviour. One source of ideas is biomimicry, which looks to nature for solutions that have been tested over long periods of evolution.
The talk collected here is “Biomimicry in action” by Janine Benyus at TED Talks in 2009, tagged with design.
