Design Tools
Design tools are the methods and software designers use to do their work: sketching, wireframing, prototyping, diagramming and the shared documents teams use to plan and discuss what to build. Some tools are digital applications, others are simple techniques that need only paper and a pen.
The right tools help a team think clearly and communicate decisions. The wrong ones can lock a team into producing artefacts rather than solving problems, which is why many practitioners pay as much attention to their conceptual tools as to their software.
The one talk in this topic is “Product Development Tools” by Ryan Singer, recorded at Mind the Product in 2015 and also tagged with the design process.
