The design process is the way a team gets from a problem to a solution that works for people. It covers how research is done, how ideas are generated and tested, how decisions are made and how the work moves from sketches to shipped product. There is no single correct process: approaches such as design thinking, agile, Lean UX and Lean Startup each put the emphasis in different places.

How a team works shapes what it builds. A process that encourages early testing, close collaboration and honest critique tends to produce products that fit real needs, while one built around hand-offs and big deliverables can lead to well-executed plans for the wrong thing.
