Workshops
A design workshop is a structured session where a group works through a problem together, for example to understand users, generate ideas, prioritise features or agree on a direction. Workshops usually mix discussion with hands-on activities such as sketching, sorting and mapping.
Workshops are valuable because they bring different perspectives into the design process early and build shared ownership of the outcome. Their success depends heavily on preparation and facilitation.
The one talk in this topic is “Design Practices for Co-creation and Engagement” by Dave Gray, recorded at UX Week in 2010 and also listed under brainstorming, gamestorming and design thinking.
