Empathy
Empathy, in user research, is the effort to understand people’s experiences, feelings and motivations from their point of view rather than from the team’s. Interviews, observation and spending time in people’s real contexts help designers move beyond assumptions and treat users as whole people rather than as abstract figures in a funnel.
The talk collected here is “Humans, not Users: Why UX is a Problem” by Johannes Ippen at TED Talks in 2019, tagged with brand, experience design, happiness and users. This is a sub-topic of user research.
