Laziness in the Time of Responsive Design
Conference talk at CSS Day
Ethan Marcotte, an independent web designer and author of Responsive Web Design, gave this talk in 2014. As screens and input types evolve, we are managing more complexity in our designs than ever before: layouts are becoming more flexible and responsive, and interfaces more immersive.
Maybe, Marcotte suggests, we can look for simpler approaches. In this session, he describes himself as a singularly lazy person and walks through some responsive designs, showing how simple CSS effects and selectors can be used to do a bit more with less.
