CSS Day

CSS Day is, as its name says, a conference centred on CSS. Two of its talks are recorded here, from 2014 and 2018.

In Motion & Playfulness (2018), Benjamin De Cock looks at animation in interfaces, with the talk filed under delight, emotional engagement, brand and interaction design. In Laziness in the Time of Responsive Design (2014), Ethan Marcotte turns to responsive web design.

Between them, the talks cover both the expressive side of front-end work, where motion gives an interface personality, and the structural side of building layouts that work across screen sizes.
