Jeff Johnson
Jeff Johnson has worked in human-computer interaction since 1978 as a user interface designer and implementer, engineering manager, usability tester and researcher, at companies including Xerox, Hewlett-Packard Labs and Sun Microsystems. He founded the usability consultancy UI Wizards and has taught computer science at the University of San Francisco. He is the author of GUI Bloopers, Web Bloopers, GUI Bloopers 2.0 and Designing with the Mind in Mind, is a member of the ACM SIGCHI Academy and received SIGCHI’s Lifetime Achievement in Practice Award.
In “Designing with the Mind in Mind” (2013), Jeff Johnson speaks on the subject of his book of the same name. The talk is filed under cognitive psychology and will interest designers who want to understand how human perception and memory affect the way people use interfaces.
