Talks at Google
Talks at Google is a series in which authors, researchers and other speakers are invited to give talks at Google’s offices. Five of them are recorded here, from 2008 to 2014.
Richard Thaler’s Nudge (2008) deals with behavioral economics, and Eric Ries’s The Lean Startup (2011) with lean startup methods. In 2013, Jakob Nielsen spoke on Mobile Usability Futures and Jeff Johnson on Designing with the Mind in Mind, filed under cognitive psychology. In 2014, Jeff Gothelf gave Building Successful Teams with Evidence-Based Innovation and Design, which covers Lean UX, design teams and team management.
Taken together, the talks cover how people think and decide, how to build products through evidence and experimentation, and how to organise the teams that do that work.
