Jonathan Perelman
Jonathan Perelman is VP of Agency Strategy and Industry Development at BuzzFeed, where he focuses on educating advertising agencies about the BuzzFeed platform and its ad products. Before BuzzFeed he spent six years at Google, most recently as Global Lead for Industry Relations, working on brand identity initiatives and relationships with the advertising and media industries. Earlier he worked at the financial services firm Unifund and was Deputy Finance Director on Cory Booker’s 2002 mayoral campaign in Newark, NJ, which was captured in the Academy Award nominated film Street Fight. He is a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Digital Future at the USC Annenberg School, sits on the boards of Advertising Week, Ad:Tech and the International Association of Internet Professionals, and advises several start-ups.
In his talk at the 99U Conference in 2014, Content is King, Distribution is Queen, Jonathan Perelman looks at content strategy from the publishing side: making good content is only half the job, and getting it in front of people matters just as much.
