GOTO
GOTO is a series of software development conferences for developers, architects and product people, with talks on technology, architecture and the way teams build software.
The two GOTO talks here are by Anders Toxboe, who has run UI-Patterns.com since 2007. In “Beyond usability: Designing with persuasive patterns” (2018) he shows how psychology can be applied to design products that motivate people to act, not just products that are easy to use. In “Experiment to innovate” (2019) he makes the case for systematic, ongoing product experimentation, so teams escape tunnel vision and spend their time building things people actually want.
