John Allsopp

John Allsopp has spent nearly 20 years developing software and writing books, courses, tutorials and articles for web designers and developers, and speaks about the web in Australia and around the world. He is credited with the phrase “Web 2.0” and wrote Microformats: Empowering Your Markup for Web 2.0.

In “The Web’s future is offline” (beyond tellerrand, 2014), John Allsopp speaks about offline-first web development, an approach that treats a missing network connection as a normal condition that web apps should handle well.
