The Power of Atomic UX Research
Conference talk at UX Brighton
· 20 min
Research findings often end up buried in reports that few people read again. In this talk from UX Brighton 2018, Daniel Pidcock presents Atomic Research, a way of organising UX knowledge inspired by Brad Frost’s Atomic Design.
Working at a FTSE 100 technology company, Pidcock was asked to find a way to store and distribute UX learnings so the whole business could benefit from them. Along the way he found that breaking research into small, connected pieces was useful not only for storing knowledge but also as a way of thinking about research itself.
The talk is useful for researchers, designers and research operations teams looking for a better way to build a research repository that people actually use.
