ResearchOps
Conference talk at UX Brighton
· 42 min
The ResearchOps Community formed in March 2018, and its Slack group quickly grew to more than 1,000 members. Soon after, the community launched #WhatisResearchOps: 60 researchers ran 32 workshops around the world, and together with a survey more than 800 people took part.
In this talk from UX Brighton 2018, Kate Towsey, who founded the community, speaks on behalf of the team behind the initiative. She shares the background to the ResearchOps Community, what the #WhatisResearchOps workshops learned about the operations that support user research, and the first iteration of the framework that came out of them.
The talk is useful for researchers, research managers and design leaders working out how to make user research scale across an organisation: recruiting participants, managing knowledge and the tools and processes around research.
