Badass: Making Users Awesome
Conference talk at Mind the Product
· 47 min
In this talk at Mind the Product San Francisco 2016, Kathy Sierra, creator of the Head First book series, looks at what makes a product experience magical and extraordinary, and how that differs from a typical product experience. She argues that every experience has the potential to be transformative if it is built the right way.
Kathy focuses on three areas: appreciating the context your product experience lives in, reducing cognitive leaks, and helping users find a state of flow when they use your product in that context. Taken together, the point is to focus on making your users awesome rather than your product.
