Webstock
Webstock is a range of web-related events that aims to improve how websites are built through inspiration, education, insightful analysis and practical application. It is also a celebration of the web and the people who make it, with industry leaders speaking on topics such as accessibility, web standards, usability and other best practices.
The four Webstock talks collected here were recorded between 2011 and 2013. Josh Clark opens with “Buttons Are a Hack: The New Rules of Designing for Touch” (2011), and Jared Spool examines “The Anatomy of a Design Decision” (2012). From 2013, Jason Santa Maria speaks “On Web Typography” and Mike Monteiro asks designers to face their responsibility in “How Designers Destroyed the World”. Together they cover design decisions, critique, the design process, interaction design and typography.
