Great designers steal
Conference talk at Ignite
· 6 min
In this 2009 talk, Jeff Veen, a founding partner of the user experience consultancy Adaptive Path who later became known for his role at Typekit, talks about how designers borrow ideas.
His point, as the title suggests, is that great designers steal. When he has a project in mind, Veen doesn’t simply copy someone else’s idea. Instead, he looks for elegant solutions and intentionally takes what he needs from them.
