Personalization of Continuous Feedback
Conference talk at mediaX at Stanford
· 14 min
In this 2014 talk, Maurits Kaptein, a researcher focused on statistical methods for personalisation, explores how various online persuasion strategies influence different people.
The underlying idea is that one persuasive approach does not fit everyone: a strategy that works for one person may have little effect, or the opposite effect, on another. For designers working on behaviour change and persuasive design, that raises the question of how feedback and persuasion can be adapted to the individual, which the Tailoring pattern describes.
