Agile
Agile is a family of software development methods built around short iterations, working software and close collaboration, instead of long up-front plans. Teams deliver in small increments, review what they have learned and adjust the plan as they go.
For designers, agile changes how work is done. There is less room for big design phases and polished deliverables, and more need to work alongside developers and product managers within each cycle. Getting this right is what lets a team learn from real users quickly rather than perfecting the wrong thing.
The talks here span 2013 to 2020. Jeff Gothelf covers Lean UX in the enterprise and shares almost everything he learned from five years of Lean UX (UX Poland, 2016). Paul Adams talks about the definition of done (UXDX, 2020) and warns “Don’t Join the Cult” (Mind the Product, 2018). Tomer Sharon looks at perfectly executing the wrong plan (Google I/O, 2014), and Dave Snowden talks about making sense of complexity.
